The statement issued by the Meteorological Department on Sunday said that the minimum temperature in the capital Kolkata is 26 degrees Celsius which is two degrees more than normal. Also, the maximum temperature is 35.7 degree Celsius which is one degree less than normal.
Other parts of Bengal, including Kolkata, may once again receive light rain at the end of the month. However, the temperature continues to rise.
Other parts of the state including Howrah, Hooghly, North and South 24 Parganas, East and West Medinipur, Purulia, and Bankura continue to rise in temperature due to which heat is felt. There is also humidity due to the clouds in the sky.
Rain is expected again by the end of the month. North Bengal also has similar weather.
